Ms. Langston is starting her fifth year of teaching, and first year as Head Band Director at McLean Middle School. Prior to that, she was the Assistant Band Director at McLean (2 years) and Band Director at Venus Middle School in Venus, TX. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma, majoring in music education and actively performing with the Pride of Oklahoma, the OU Wind Symphony, and the OU Symphony Orchestra. While at OU, Ms. Langston was actively involved in local and state music education organizations, including holding the office of President in the Collegiate Oklahoma Music Educator's Association. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Music Education, with Distinction, in 2014. Her professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmaster Association, and Sigma Alpha Iota.
Ms. Langston is getting married in June 2019 to her fiancé Josh Chance, and together they have 2 dogs and 2 cats, and LOVE cheering on the Texas Rangers. Her favorite things to do outside of teaching are running, learning how to swing dance, and watching "The Office". She loves donuts, but tacos are her real favorite food (with Starbursts being a close second).
Mrs. Traughber is starting her 5th year at McLean 6th Grade Center and 15th year teaching. Prior to that, she has taught with both High School and Middle School bands consistently earning sweepstakes at UIL contest. Beginning band has always been a constant throughout her teaching, and continues to be an area of expertise and fun for her. In coming to McLean 6, she gets to teach the foundation and future of the McLean Middle School and Paschal High School Bands. Mrs. Traughber went to Burleson High School where she was a 3 year TMEA All State Clarinetist and then to West Texas A&M University. At WTAMU, she was a student of Douglas Storey and Dr. Gary Garner. She graduated in 2004 with a bachelor of music degree. Her professional affiliations are with Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmaster Association.
Mrs. Traughber lives in Saginaw with her husband Brian, who is an animation teacher at The Keller Center for Advanced Learning. Together, they have 4 children, Nolan who is 5, identical twins Clark and Miles who are 3, and Jack who would have been 6 this year. They also have 2 dachshunds named Marnie and Bossy Pants.
